Tell us about your life and travels since FUHS:

Well, after graduation, I went to work to support my mother and myself, met the girl of my dreams at Autonetics, where I worked in 1963 and married her in 1964....we're still together living in a wonderland. I have had many great adventures. I played in a cover band all over SoCal for awhile, then my wife and I moved to Riverside, Ca and we started a horse breeding operation that went from 1972 to 1990. We raised and showed Appaloosa horses. After we moved to Oregon I pursued and got my private pilot's license and flew for several years until it just became too expensive. Now I fly radio controlled aircraft, mostly WWII warbirds and work our 7 acre "special place" in the forests of the high desert in Central Oregon.

Best FUHS School Memories:

Drafting class........Mr Hamner was the best and prepared me for my career in the Aerospace industry. Other than that, I loved all the school activities, including the Luau's........wasn't it great to go to school in the 50's and 60's with all the cool cars, great music, great So Cal beaches and of course the awesome girls!!!! I also feel very privileged to have gone to a school with so much history and spirit........oh speaking of spirit.......how about Willie Ugh, better known as Gene Cook.

Who Was Your Favorite Teacher?

No contest...........Mr James Hamner..........drafting. He taught me a lot, was a stern taskmaster and I thank him for preparing me for the working world. I don't think I ever would have landed the job (career) that I did without his teaching.
