Obituary: Charles William (Bill) Kohlenberger, 86, long time resident of Fullerton, passed away Sept. 17, 2013. He attended Fullerton Union H.S., and graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, in 1951 in electronics engineering. He was employed in the aerospace industry, retiring from Boeing Corp in 1994. He was an avid Ham Radio Operator, Boy Scout Leader and dedicated to serving his church and community. He is survived by wife Barbara, sons Robert & Roger, daughters Carol & Jean, 6 grandchildren & 5 great-grandchildren.

My Dad was a graduate of Fullerton Union HS, along with many of his aunts, uncles and cousins! He enlisted in the Navy in 1944, before his graduation. He served as a radio technician in Newfoundland. He took courses during the summer, and graduated from High School in 1945. He’s not to be confused with his second cousin Charles, who graduated from FUHS in 1943
