SUSAN BUSBY PERICICH, 10/17/1942 ~ 9/25/2015

Susan Busby Goodwin-Pericich, 72, passed away in her sleep at home with her husband by her side on the 25th of September 2015.
Born in Los Angeles on the 17th of October 1942 to Elizabeth (Krug) and Marvin Lehman Busby, she was a 35 year resident of the South Bay. Susan graduated from Fullerton Union High School in 1960. She achieved her BA from Whittier College in 1964 and received her law degree from Western State University College of Law.  A lawyer for 40 years specializing in estate planning, Cal Trans employee in charge of procuring land for the building of the 105 fwy, Rotarian from 1989 to 2005, Companion of the Foresters of America from 1980 to 1999, founding member of the Friends of the Harbor Gateway Branch of the Los Angeles Library and a member of the Renegades Square Dance Club.  Interests included reading mystery novels, music, classic movies, old time TV and radio shows, cooking, sewing, traveling, gardening and hats. 
Preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Gregg Pericich; brothers, Mike (Jan) Busby, Steven (Pam) Busby, and Daniel Gary Busby; sister, Leslie Salazar Carrillo; sister-in-law, Donna Luciene; 8 nieces and 5 nephews; 8 great-nieces and 5 great-nephews; 1 great-great-niece and 1 great-great-nephew.
A special thank you to the members of the Torrance Memorial Home Health and Hospice Care Facility who provided care for Susan the last 2 years of her life.
An extraordinary individual who was greatly loved and will be so deeply missed. Hats off to you, Susan B.
Her ashes will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery in Riverside, CA on Friday the 27th of November 2015 at 11:00AM. A celebration of her life will take place at The Depot in Torrance on Saturday the 21st of November 2015 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM.
