1957 Class Rep and our dear friend, Joan Hardy Acton passed away Saturday night, August 25, from cancer.

---- Fran Fredericks, a friend from Vineyard Church of Anaheim, called me a few minutes ago to let me know that Joan had passed away Saturday night just before 10:00. Just before she died, Joan asked Fran to call me and have me let her FUHS friends know about her death. She was on hospice for 4 days only. Her daughter Heidi has a chemo treatment today for bone cancer. God bless that family! Joan fought a valiant fight through four rounds of cancer, but now she is finally at peace with Jesus. Memorial service plans are still pending. I'll let you know.

-----I'm so grateful to have had the blessing of holding her hand while we had a recent visit. Please let me know if anyone hears of funeral plans? She was such a dear lady. God bless her loving family.

David Williams (1951)
Joan and I met at a church we both were just trying and somehow we got to know we both were FUHS alumni. It turned out both of us were regular members of the same other church. So we got to meet and hug almost every Sunday there. We traded stories and worshiped an isle apart. It was always good to see her "Acton up." I'll miss her.
