Family and Friends of Joanne [Rapp] Rogers,

My memories of Joanne are numerous with the most - going all the way back to 3rd grade at Ford Elementary - is her popularity.  Yes, even in grade school she was so liked by everyone; boys because she was so dang cute, girls because they admired her so much and wanted to be just like her!  Joanne, thru the school years, stayed the same as always; giving, and being a friend.  In my heart and mind, I know she remained that same woman throughout her life.

Please, accept my deepest condolences for your terrible loss.

It's never being the "new girl" in eigth grade and when I moved to Fullerton and started Wilshire Jr. High it was a real adjustment from a little country elementary school.  I remember Joanne Rapp and Kay Bonsey both helping me meet and make new (life-long) friends and smooth the path to a happy and sucessful time through Fullerton High School.  Her happy family included me and I soon felt that I belonged.  Her friendship was  one of my happiest Fullerton memories.

Joanne was one of the sweetest girls I knew as a child at Ford Elementary and Wilshire Junior High and FUHS. She was friendly to all and with her good friend Kay Bonsey Hill, they made us all feel welcome and important. She will be missed by all who knew her. God bless you, Joanne. Rest in piece.

  • I am shocked and so sad to read this. I had the pleasure of seeing Joanne at POW WOW in 2017, i believe it was.  She was as lovely and friendly as always.  RIP Joanne and may God's Peace and Comfort be with your family and friends.

At our 50th Reunion nine years ago Joanne and I reminisced about some of our shared K-6th grades at Ford Elementary, 7th & 8th at Wilshire Jr. High and 9th -12th at FUHS. And now I am saddened to learn about her passing and the battle she faced in her final years. To her husband, sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren I extend heart-felt condolences. You were truly blessed to have her occupy such a large and irreplaceable part of your lives. And my fond memories of Joanne give cause for me to acknowledge the same. Thanks be to God.
