Marks seems to have a good life.  He deserved it, because he was a nice guy.  So is his brother Vern.

I have fond memories of Mark. I moved to Fullerton in 8th grade at Wilshire Jr. Hi and when I joined the orchestra he was one of the first people I met in the violin section.  It's always hard being the "new" kid in town and Mark was kind to me.  We 'fiddled' together thru our Sr. year.   Enjoyed reading about his various careers and wonder if I ever was on one of the flights he piloted.  So great that he took up the violin again and would have loved hearing some of his playing.  Did he do Orange Blossom Special?    Condolances to his family

Mark and I connected as fellow violinists, even though we were several years apart in age.  We shared some fun and wonderful times together.  I remember speeding down State College with Mark "driving" while he played the ukelele, I steered from the passenger seat, and we sang with great gusto.  Interesting that somehow years later he and Vern and I all ended up in the Navy.

A truly sincere and generous man.  I'm sure Vern and his family will miss him.
