Fritz was a special person in many ways. Many good memories about him. His mother was my senior year English honors program teacher. She had a lasting impact on me. I talked with Frits 10 years ago to encourage him to attend our 50th reunion. May he rest in peace.

I am saddened. I only had four good friends from my graduating class: Gary Russell, Pete Wadsworth, Karl Kent, and Fritz (most of my friends in the Hillside Era were from classes a year or two ahead or behind the class with which I graduated). And now, each of the four has crossed the Great Divide. I recall the beach party at Scotchman's Cove organized by Joyce Apgar for Fritz's BD in 1959 and many beer parties in the oil field roads overlooking the Brea Dam (Fritz, who was so tall, looked old enough to buy beer!). I reached Fritz in England about ten years ago. Good friends and good times in a galaxy far away and long ago. I hope that Fritz, wherever he is, knows that my thoughts are with him. We shared time.

Was so happy to be able to talk to Fritz a couple of weeks before he passed. My senior year was my first at Fullerton. Gary Larson and Fritz took me under their wing and made sure I was always included. I will always remember the basketball. What a privelage to be a part of that team. Fritz was also like a big brother to my wife, Karen Jenkins Miller. Our thoughts and prayers with his wife Kathy and family.

It’s hard when we last spoke about our ills.  I prayed that you would beat your heart problems.  You gave it all you had and then some.  Our talk has taken the fear out of dying away from me.  I know what Pastor Myers taught us is true.  Your in a better place.  God has a new all CIF center to do his calling.  Our friendship was a special part of my life.  Rest In Peace. God speed.  Gary Larson

Fritz's mom and my mom were college roomates at the University of Illinois.  My mom and I came to CA because of the Zwicks.  We lived with them for a while before we moved to an apartment of our own. I heard about Fritz through his mom and my mom through the years, but after both moms passed, I lost track of Fritz.  He was a smart guy and a super athlete. May he rest in peace.

Fritz was a great guy and I loved our time together when we dated in high school.  We went our separte ways when we went off to college and I have thought about him often and the fun birthday beach party I had for him when the grunion were running. I am sorry we didn't get to connect before he passed away.  Fritz was such a good person and I know his family is missing him, he was always very respectful, kind and fun.  I also loved having his mom for English, she was my favorite teacher in high school.  Just this morning I was reminiscing with my sister, Jeanne who went to Sunny Hills High School and Fritz's name came up and I was planning to look him up on Facebook and saw an alumni email and went to the yearbook and read that he had passed. I am feeling sad that I did not get to connect and realizing just how short life is and important it is to reach out when we can to others. My heartfelt condolences go out today from  Colorado to Fritz's family and friends. He will be deeply missed. Rest in peace my dear high school friend Fritz, Joyce Apgar
