This is Ed's wife. I want to thank all of you who reached out to Ed during the last six months. It was quite a gift for him to "hear" your voices via emails. And, he was thrilled to have his movie, Ozone 367 digitized in order to share with all of you. Here's the link again.

Edward Hume April 9, 2021 On April 9, 2021, our favorite amateur astronomer headed for the moon and the stars, leaving us behind far too soon. Born in 1949, shortly after the start of the New Year, Ed held undergraduate and medical degrees from Washington University in St. Louis, MO, where he also did his residency in psychiatry. Ed loved nothing more than taking care of patients and being with his family. He was an avid reader of history and science fiction. In 1999, he practiced psychiatry in Lower Hutt, NZ, packing a table-top telescope so he could view the Southern Cross. Dr. Hume was Clinical Director of Psychiatric Services at the former Community General Hospital from 1989-1998. He is survived by his wife, Sue Ferrara, and his two daughters, Katy and Elizabeth. Even in death, Ed chose to help patients by donating organs and tissue to the Lyme Disease Biobank through The National Disease Research Interchange. Donations in Ed's memory may be made to the Bartonella/Vector Borne Disease Research Fund, North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine Foundation, 1060 William Moore Drive, Raleigh, NC 27607. I knew Ed from grade school. Super smart, so I was happy to read how he got his MD degree and Psychiatric Degree, and that he helped many people in his professional career. It was a wonderful tribute by his wife. I was  very moved by it. May dear Ed rest in peace.
