Doug loved sports, magic, traveling and doing family things. He had a great sense of humor and could always make the group laugh. He enjoyed being with his older brother Don Thamer. He was always the tallest person in a group as he was 6'6" tall. He attended Valencia Elementary School, Fullerton Union High School and Stanford University.
