Bob was always a pleasant approachable unpretentious guy with a big smile and a welcoming manner. He of course was our Student Body President. And he had survived polio as a kid. Bob, Deana Ausser and I went off to Stanford in the fall of 1957. He left Stanford at some point and I lost tract of him until years later when I moved to Washington DC and he was running the computer center of American University. I saw him and his wife several times in the earlier years there. I last saw him many years later when he was looking to change jobs and came to see me for advice. His polio had returned, but he still looked the same affable pleasant guy we had known in Fullerton. I believe he latter died of the disease.
