David Stumetz ~ February 24, 1940 - June 5, 2017

David L. Stumetz, 77, of Peoria, Illinois, passed away Monday, June 5, 2017 at his residence. He was born on February 24, 1940 in Peoria to Eli and Edna (Kessler) Stumetz.
He is survived by two children, Tammra Brown of Gallatin, Tennessee and James Collins of Dover, Tennessee; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He has three brothers surviving, Daniel Stumetz of Peoria, Donald Stumetz of Richland, Washington and John Stumetz of LaHabra, California. He was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
David was retired from the National Weather Service working in Peoria and Springfield, Illinois. He was a Marine and Army veteran of the Viet Nam Conflict.
