Class of 1940
Deceased Classmate:  Alan Vaughn Jones
I'm not sure what year he graduated. I'm guessing 1940. He was Jimmie Lee Jones older brother. He died in 1942 in the war. His ship went to shore in enemy territory. They rowed on their boats to shore. He was shot as soon as he got out the boat onto the sand. He was taken back to the ship and died of Gangrene and was buried at sea. Sad
