Judge Raymond Herrick Thompson
Passed away at his home on August 14, 1985
He was 81 years old
Graduated from USC Law School in 1927, practiced law in Fullerton. Office was in Chapman Building corner of East Wilshire & Spadra. Was City Attorney in late 30's and early 40's. Appointed to Superior Court Bench as Judge in 1944 retired in 1974. Served longer than any other jurist. After retirement he taught law at Pepperdine University School of Law and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the school. Judge and Mrs. Raymond Thompson traveled thru Europe, Asia, South America and most of the United States together. He also enjoyed his collection of antique automobiles. Orange County history was another of his favorite hobbies.
